Rhea Younes was born and raised in Beirut, where early memories of her late father’s atelier sparked a lifelong passion for design and craftsmanship. Immersed from a young age in the world of materials and artisanal work, she developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of hand-made furniture. Now based between Beirut and Paris, Rhea draws inspiration from the timeless elegance of Parisian architecture and interiors, while remaining rooted in the vibrant spirit of Beirut. Her creations reflect this duality—where regal European influences meet rich cultural heritage. At the heart of her practice is a commitment to working closely with local artisans, with every piece thoughtfully designed and crafted in Beirut. In 2019, she founded Collective Y—a natural evolution of her journey and a platform for her unique design philosophy to take shape.
